How to Stay Healthy during WFH
The covid-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way we live. Be it personal or professional, every bracket of life has been affected by this epidemic. Working from home is quite convenient and gives high safety against this highly infectious disease. Due to the pandemic, a lot of businesses and organizations are shut and a majority has given the facility to work from home. Constant studies have observed a few outcomes of working from home due to unhealthy habits and changed lifestyles such as-
- Poor work-life balance
- Low social interaction
- Boredom and moody
- Feeling isolated
- Messed up eating habits
- Lack of exercise
For a balanced and healthy life flow and stay fit, buckle up and follow this basic routine:
Follow a balanced diet and drink water
Make sure to intake a lot of water and stay hydrated. Working from home doesn’t mean following an inconsistent schedule and eating whenever you want. It is very important to maintain a proper diet and eat the right amount of food. Do not be lazy in drinking water. Fill up a few bottles and make sure you complete them by the end of the day.
Make exercise and fitness a habit
It is not essential to head to a gym to stay healthy and fit. You can gear up at home and do a little for yourself. You can even get a stationary bike or a treadmill at home for your daily dose of exercise. Meditation and yoga are other options to stay healthy during pandemic times. It will not only keep you active but increase your efficiency and build peace within.
Set up a comfy working space
Working from home doesn’t mean you will work anywhere and everywhere you feel like in your home or in whatever position you feel comfortable. Look out for a setup, probably a chair and a table for setting up your workspace. While working for long hours, it is important to sit in the correct position, or else you will suffer from neck and back pain.
Take a walk
Talking 30 minutes a day will not just keep you active but increase your efficiency and build peace within. Pick up something you like and make it a habit. Do dedicate a part of your day to keeping your body engaged. Walking is the easiest thing to do.
5. Maintaining Work-life balance
You might find it difficult to manage your personal and work life parallel and even more when both take place at the same time. Avoid checking emails or inboxes during family time is something one can practice. Drawing strict boundaries between working hours and family time is something one should focus on.
