Women Filed a Rape Following the Suicide Against BSP MP.
The MP’s attorney, Anuj Yadav, said that Atul Kumar Singh, alias Atul Rai, who represents the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency and has been imprisoned since June 2019 in the case, won the decision made by the MP-MLA court’s special judge, Siyaram Chaurasia.
Atul Kumar Singh, a member of the BSP in the Lok Sabha, was acquitted on Saturday by a court in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, in a case of alleged rape and cheating that was brought in 2019 by a woman who committed suicide outside the Supreme Court the year before after accusing senior police officers of conspiring with the accused.
Anuj Yadav, the MP’s attorney, claimed that Siyaram Chaurasia, the special judge of the MP-MLA court, had ruled in favour of Atul Kumar Singh, aka Atul Rai, who represents the Ghosi Lok Sabha sea.
“Evidence could not be submitted on behalf of the victim, and the incident could not be proved,” stated the lawyer.
The 24-year-old lady accused Atul Rai and other people of rape on May 1, 2019. She claimed that Rai lured her to his Varanasi apartment, sexually assaulted her, and took inappropriate pictures and recordings.
