Sindhu played in the day’s first match on Sunday and won the Summit clash by 21-9, 11-21, and 21-15. She started on a great note, winning the initial match by a walloping margin. However, in the next game, Wang Zhi Yi made a remarkable comeback, winning it by 11-21.
In the decider, the top Indian ace shuttler maintained her composure and grabbed the title against the Chinese finalist by 21-15.
In the women’s single category semifinals in Singapore Open 2022 on Saturday, Sindhu defeated Saena Kawakami of Japan to advance to the Summit Clash.
As she warded off the Japanese challenge within two straight singles matches, 15-21, 7-21, Sindhu displayed her Intelligence and dominance. The game ended in 2 minutes, less than an hour.
This title is Sindhu’s third this year. The first title was the Women’s Singles Title at the Syed Modi International tournament in January 2022. In the summit clash at the indoor stadium, she defeated Malvika Bansod 21-13, 21-16, where she bragged her second title.
