The father of Ratan Tata, Naval Tata, was initially nourished in an orphanage until being adopted by Ratanji Tata later in life. In addition, Naval Tata had a biological connection to the Tata family; his biological grandmother was the sister of Hirabai Tata, who was Jamshedji Tata’s wife. Biologically speaking, Naval Tata was a Tata.
Ratan Tata was birthed on December 28th, 1937, in the city of Surat, in the Indian state of Gujarat. On the other hand, when he was ten years old, his parents, Naval Tata and Sooni Tata divorced. After that, his grandmother Navajbai Tata, Ratanji Tata’s widow, took care of him and brought him up.
