As per the reports, the grand Bohemian-themed baby shower of actress Sonam Kapoor which was planned in Mumbai for her family and friends got canceled. The baby shower was planned on Sunday. As you would be well aware from their Instagram handles that Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are expecting their first child together. After their first baby shower in London last month, they were planning another one with their family and friends in Mumbai.

However, due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai, the event has been canceled for now. Sonam’s baby shower was supposed to happen in her aunt Kavita Singh’s bungalow in Bandra. Moreover, on Sunday morning, a palazzo account posted a picture of the venue, seemingly deserted. One source mentioned that there was no action at the Bangalow where Sonam Kapoor’s baby shower was supposed to begin at 11 am. 

On Saturday, an Etimes report claimed that the baby shower was canceled because of the rising cases of Covid-19 in the city. The report quoted sources close to the Kapoor family and said that even expensive customized hampers are sent to guests. After the increase in Covid-19 cases, the parent’s-to-be decided to play it safe for the safety and well-being of the baby and mother. 

Paparazzi also spotted invitation cards and gift hampers that were sent out to their dear ones recently. According to reports, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and many Bollywood celebs were supposed to attend the Bohemian-themed baby shower.
