Congress Party Still Enslaving Gandhi’s: Anurag Thakur.
Another charge levelled by Thakur against Congress was that it was “still enslaving Gandhi’s” and disregarded the populace’s needs. Asserting that the INC was neither “Indian nor National,” BJP general secretary CT Ravi responded to the claim made by Congress spokesman Jairam Ramesh. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, he claimed, “looted Congress” in the National Herald case and are, therefore “, corrupt” and in danger of disciplinary action from the ED.
In an interview with ANI, the Union Minister posed a query to the Congress, asking why they are wary of the investigation if the Gandhi family hasn’t done anything wrong.
“The biggest example of how to grab property worth thousands of crores is the National Herald case and this is done by none other than Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, who are currently being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). They are out on bail but why they are running away from the investigation? These crocodile tears of Congress leaders are just to hide the corruption done by their party and to stop the investigation. Is Congress out of bound of probe agencies? Does the law of the country not apply to the Congress leaders? Is the Gandhi family above the law of the country? They are out on bail, shouldn’t they tell the investigating agency why the scam happened? Why are they afraid if they are innocent?” said Thakur.
He added that Congress leaders hadn’t raised the public’s voice, instead sticking to the Gandhi family.
“This question is being raised again and again that why Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are running away from the investigation and Congress leaders have remained confined to the Gandhi family instead of raising the voice of the public. The country got independence 75 years ago, but the Congress party is still living in slavery for just one family,” he said further.
He claimed that Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are “corrupt” and that the ED is taking action against them because “they plundered Congress” in the National Herald case. However, the law will follow its path, Ravi added. “Slaves can call it a vendetta.”
